Prepare for the end of Microsoft critical systems support.

On January 14, 2020, support for critical systems such as Windows 7, Server 2008 and 2008 R2, among others, will end. This means that there will no longer be regular security updates. Don’t leave your infrastructure and applications unprotected. This end of support will directly affect the performance and productivity of companies. It not only requires updating the software but also a large part of the hardware park. .
Not only is it the end of life of the most used system media in all companies, it is a critical date that must be taken very seriously due to the security holes it entails.

Infection Risks Without updates, your systems and applications will be vulnerable to harmful viruses, spyware, encryption, ransomware, and other malicious applications that can steal or damage information and most importantly, your data.

Antiviruses will no longer be compatible. New versions and updates of antiviruses will be incompatible with these outdated systems, so security is compromised.

Incompatible hardware. When purchasing new computer hardware, the installation and configuration drivers will not be compatible. (Printers, scanners, readers, cards and any new peripherals.)

Exposed databases. The database version, whether in SQL Server or another database, will put information at risk and violate the GDPR.

Data security. A system without updates is an open door to the entry of Trojans and security holes to facilitate the exit of information and databases from companies, so the economic cost can be much higher than the investment required.

Programs cannot be updated. New versions of programs and licenses you use and their updates will no longer be compatible with systems that do not have current updates.

Infected documentation. By leaving the system at an obvious risk of infection, the probability that the documents could be infected and spread to your clients, with the consequent loss of reputation.

New applications. Most new applications that you want to install will not be compatible and will not be able to be used and installed on operating systems without an update.
